The Rockley Estate has a history that spans more than a thousand years with previous owners including the daughter of a Duke, 9 Baronets, a Bishop and a High Sheriff of Wiltshire. The current Manor, built in 1775 and reconstructed in 1820 by Sir Hugh Smyth, is a late Georgian masterpiece with many additional features being added by ‘Paul’ Geddes Hyslop, the renowned architect who specialised in salvaging Georgian features from fashionable Georgian houses in London and reinstating them elsewhere to great effect.
