Set in stunning surroundings beside Loch Etive, the ironworks were founded in 1753 by Cumbrian iron masters. It is the most complete remaining charcoal fuelled ironworks in Britain. Displays bring to life the industrial heritage of the area and illustrate how iron was once made here.
