St Michael's Church
Built of warm-toned sandstone, Medieval St Michael?s elegant spire is seen above the trees, in rolling wooded countryside, where the boundaries of four counties meet. Nearby are earthworks of former settlements, but now only a few scattered houses remain. With late 18th-century box pews and other fittings, but with no major Victorian restoration, it is an uncommon survival of a Medieval church where time has stood still.
